So as you all know it's snowing.

This is been a bit of a weekend.
I went Caroling on Friday night with my friends, they've been doing this for about 33 years.
Me? Maybe that long off and on. But still it was very nice and i look forward to it, and enjoy doing it.
HunterandHunted was supposed to come along on the caroling, but she let deadlines get away from her and wussied out.
Then today was snow. I dug two houses out this morning and then made my way to work.(fun)
Continued to play phone tag with chasingtides. (We'll connect at some point Princess) Then after that was all done tried to make my way back home.
Trains, Public Trans, SEPTA....
some things are better left unsaid.

Oh and now it looks like I didn't shovel at all, stupid snow falling after I left, thinks it's better than me...

Well, it could be worse,
Could be raining.

Tickets for Comic-Con 2010 one day passes went on sale on Tuesday.
As of today (Friday) the Saturday passes are SOLD OUT.
Yes that means ALL 4 Day passes, and Saturday passes are GONE.
And it's not even 2010 yet.

We got ours, hope you got yours.

The Beach

Now

It was twilight when they reached the shore, Peter turned to tell Jessie to follow his lead, but she was gone.

He looked up and saw she was already on the shore, in front of him.

By now her hair was long and black, curled by the seawater, seaweed and shells tangled in her tresses. Her legs and arms long and strong, the Moon was low and somehow Jessie seemed to glow in it’s light.

He rushed up quietly behind her like a shadow.

“Jess,” He said putting his hand on her shoulder, “Be careful, this place can be…”

His voice left him as he felt the cold, wet blade of her knife just below his ribs.

“Sorry,” She said, her eyes wide eyes sparkling, “You surprised me.”

The knife was gone.

“You were saying?” She asked sweetly moving closer to Peter, the warmth of her breath on his lips.

Suddenly, Tink shot between them, like a bullet glowing bright red.

“That’s new.” Jessie whispered.

Then BOOM! Tink exploded. Knocking them both into the air.

As Peter flew backward, Tink bathed in red, tumbled past him again, and exploded again.

Jessie looked up as the shockwave knocked her down and onto the sand, the air was filled with them, tiny red exploding fairies.

You know I usually save my, 'I'm warning you...' post about Comic-Con till sometime in January, but hey, fate has beaten me to it.

As of this morning, less than three months after the close of the last show,
and more than nine months to the opening of the 2010 show:

Comic-Con has sold out of the badges that give you a four day pass along with the added preview night.
Regular four day passes are still available.

Wow, I may have to buy a ticket this year, Just to be safe.

Most of you already know about this, but let's make it official.

TEENA TESLA is a comic book/web comic I've been working on for, well...
close to 2-3 years now.

I went to comic con and passed out little preview copies of the comic to anyone who seemed interested.

It looked like this:

So this is what people would see, and pick up this small pamphlet and be introduced to Teena.
Oh and by the way Teena is the new icon you've been seeing on my page in various forms for the last week. I'm trying to get the web page up but it's just been a nightmare. They have offered me all sorts of premiums, but when it comes to adjusting the thing so it actually accepts me passwords and lets me build the thing that's a no go.

But they can get me a Platinum card.

So here is some of what will be on the website once I get it up amd running,

Well two days and counting.

All we have to do is,
Get the comic to the printer tomorrow morning.
sign off on the proofs tomorrow afternoon.

make sure the website is ready to go live on Thursday.
convince my iphone clone to let me take and store pictures.

Get my hair cut.

Not Panic.

I'm really working on that last one.

So the day is fast approaching, 10 days to be nit picky.

San Diego, Sun, fun, crowds, awkward lunches, and a very intresting 1st night Pajama party...

But, still, I'm looking forward to it, 3000 miles away from work, and for the 1st time in awhile no resposibilities to anyone exceot myself.

I'm going to eat and drink like an 18th century Founding Father on a Fact Finding tour.

Yeah, it's on.

In three weeks I will be on the road to the land of Sun and Surf,
and Pop Culture Overload.

The Sunny San Diego Comic-Con!
As of last month the Con was booked solid, Sold out before the 1st table was set, the 1st panel booked, or the doors even cracked open.
I warned you.
But I'm going. I've even set up a blog so you can see all the fun and adventures My Filthy Assitant(tm) and I will have.
(Come on blackmail pictures of 'hunterandhunted' assulting David Tennant, 'nowammises, nowammies.')
Yeah it's going to be fun.
That and the seafood

Oh, and I'll also be giving out free copies of my comic.

Well I've done it.
After about two years of messing around, trying this and that, I've done it.

I've got my BBQ rib recipe down.

It's finally what I've been working toward.
I really wanted something that was just a bit different from the usual sweet tomato based stuff everybody makes.

And I got it done before July 4th. Now all I have to do is see how they turn out when I get to make them in a smoker.
I can't wait.

Oh and i'm available for performances, just get the ribs and get me to the venue.
I'll bring the magic.

Endings and Beginings...

May 18 2009
Today marks the end of an era.

Today is Graduation day at Bryn Mawr College.

Four, maybe Five years ago, it’s a bit hard to pin point.

It’s funny how your life can change.
Change and you don’t even notice it.
Won’t even realize, till you can look back upon it.

They came one by one, didn’t really see it until one day they all came at the same time. The door to the store burst open, and there they were. A chaotic cacophony of voices, talking, arguing. At first they were loud, annoying, but grudgingly I grew used to them. I listened to their questions, their opinions. Then bit by bit I grew fond of them, didn’t even notice, that I was waiting for them. I was looking forward to their visits.

They made my days better, made me smile, challenged me, supported me, they loved me and became my friends. They spilled over from the store and into my life, and I loved them, loved them all.

And one by one, they left and moved on till there was only one left.
Today she leaves also, she too moves on.
They taught me, I taught them, and today class is over.

But not until She teaches me one last lesson.
How much I will miss them all.

My life will be a bit quieter now.
Damn the silence.

My Girls.
My Angels.
My Dragonslayers.

My Mawrtyrs.

Look into the night sky,
You’ll see them too.

I Love You All.
I Miss You All.

Well, it's like this.

I'm still waiting for the battery for my phone to arrive.
